Come to Gaspar's Grotto in Ybor on Oct 10th starting at 12noon to help raise money to help out our friend Greg Jones, a great guy who is facing some challenging times.

* Doors open at 12noon
* Flip cup & beer pong tourneys start at 2pm sharp
* 1-3pm Bela Wurtzler performs
* 3-6pm DJ Trey Ammons performs
* Date Auction runs until 5:30pm featuring a couple of the Angels & other local hotties
* Silent Prize Auction runs until 5:30pm
* Fundraiser ends at 6pm but after party inside Gaspars from 6pm 'ti whenever…

$15 cover charge includes free draft beer (first come, first served until the MANY kegs run dry then $2 afterwards), $2 shots or Beer, $3 rum punch, food specials, prizes, auctions and great live music and entertainment including Bela Wurtzler & DJ Trey Ammons! 100% of the proceeds from the event will go to Greg to assist with his medical bills and treatment.

Some auction items include: original artwork, concert tickets, vintage wine, surfing lessons, spa services, restaurant certificates, resume workshop, personal training sessions, and much more!

Why are we doing this?
Greg's Angels is a group of friends in Tampa who formed in the summer of 2009 in order raise money to help their dear friend, Greg Jones with his mounting medical bills. The Angels consist of Donna Djaja, Cristina Gonzalez, Chanda Boswell, Allison Chappelle, Jeri Cigrand, Dawn Adams, and Faye Postma.

Who is Greg Jones?
Greg Jones is an amazing guy whose career was built helping others to be in their best health through his personal training and nutritional expertise. Nearing the end of 2008, he became very ill. He became diabetic almost overnight. He was exhausted and would sleep for days on end, and he began to lose a dramatic amount of weight. His business began to suffer as he spent much of his time seeing doctors in attempts to diagnose his symptoms. As the months passed, Greg was forced to fold his business and move back to West Virginia so that his retired parents could watch over him. Lacking insurance and having no job, Greg's medical bills began to mount as the doctors were still trying to diagnose all of his symptoms. After months of relentless testing and doctor's visits, they have found a small brain tumor resting on his pituitary gland and that he is suffering from Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, which is when the immune system attacks the thyroid. Greg has also been diagnosed with Vestibular Schwannoma, which is also basically a benign tumor inside the ear resulting in hearing loss (and also loss of balance).

With all these problems, Greg has been unable to work and therefore unable to pay his medical bills. Doctors still believe they have not discovered the cause of all his symptoms so the testing continues, adding to his mounting debt. Greg needs all the hope and support that we can provide him. Hope that he will be able to overcome all that has plagued him this past year and return to his normal life. Please help Greg's Angels to give that hope to him.
